Cucurrucucu Paloma
Triangle in Anapoima Mandarino Tree Parrot Soap Opera of All Time!
By Judi McLeod Sunday, May 31, 2009
Step aside, Julio Iglesias and all you other romantic Latino singers, Paco the Parrot is here.
Bogota Free Planet (BFP) promised they would record for CFP the Parrots of Anapoima belting out the haunting refrain from the song “Cucurrucucu Paloma”, and that’s just what they did.
Paco is the partner of Paca and Rosa is the “other woman”. Paca fights with her partner for constantly calling to Rosa, so now like any other swain, Paco serenades Rosa!
In addition to his singing, naughty Paco gives a whistle as good as any construction worker when a woman walks by.
The ongoing love story from the mandarino tree in Anapoima makes for ‘The Parrot Soap Opera of all Time’.
BFP reports that the people of Anapoima think of Paco as The Mario Lanza of Feathers!
They challenge anyone who thinks their parrot sings better than Paco to send their video/audio to them: .
