By Ernesta Raulonyt?   Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Aircraft technical maintenance training organization FL Technics Training has introduced a new course for the future Bombardier CL-600-2B19 family aircraft maintenance specialists. The process of certification authorizing the company to organize Bombardier CL-600-2B19 technical maintenance type training courses in accordance with the European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA) Part 147 requirements was completed by the Lithuanian Civil Aviation Administration in February, 2012.

The newly launched Part-147 Bombardier CRJ aircraft type maintenance training program is entitled the “Bombardier CL-600-2B19 (GE CF34) B1.1 and B2 Sub-categories’ Aircraft Theoretical Training Course Program” and comprises a theoretical course on how to maintain aircraft fuselage, engines and their components.

“Within the last several years we have significantly expanded not only the geography of our training courses but also the spectrum of programs for the maintenance training of different types of aircraft. With regards to the aviation industry tendencies in both Eastern Europe and the emerging markets we offer training programs for the most popular aircraft types as well as the increasingly sought-after regional jets (such as the CRJ) and wide-body aircraft,” says the Deputy Head of FL Technics Training Dainius Sakalauskas.

An exceptionally sharp increase in demand for regional jets has been already observed in Russia, Latin America and Africa. According to D.Sakalauskas, the impressive aviation industry potential not only promotes increasingly large new aircraft orders and accelerates fleet updating processes with new generation Western types of aircraft but also raises the demand for highly qualified aircraft technical maintenance specialists. In a single year FL Technics Training trains 2000 new technical maintenance specialists who, according to the EASA Part-147 requirements, deepen their knowledge by attending basic maintenance training, aircraft type training and specialized training courses.
