7 new Line Maintenance Stations will be added to FL Technics global network of 32 locations

By Ernesta Raulonyt?   Wednesday, April 11, 2012

FL Technics, a global provider of fully integrated aircraft technical maintenance services, is set to open 7 new line maintenance stations across Europe, the CIS and Asia-Pacific. The range of services offered in all 7 new line maintenance stations will extend to on-call maintenance, pre-flight, daily, weekly checks and component replacements, inspections and repairs. The line maintenance support will also include full 24/7 AOG services.

The new stations in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Bangladesh), Malta International Airport (Malta), Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (Russia), Krakow International Airport (Poland), Szczecin–Goleniów Airport (Poland), Poznań–Ławica Airport (Poland) and Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (Poland) will start operating from the mid-April to the beginning of June 2012.

The first upcoming line maintenance station in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to open its doors to customers on the 14th of April 2012, is a joint project of FL Technics and its partner Avalon Aviation Limited. FL Technics Storm, part of FL Technics, will provide complex line maintenance services for Boeing 737, Boeing B747-400/800, Boeing B767, Airbus A320, Airbus A330, Airbus A340 and ATR42/72 types of aircraft.

imageAccording to the CEO of FL Technics Jonas Butautis, this new line maintenance station in Dhaka opens a bundle of opportunities for FL Technics placing itself firmly on the Asian map. ‘Being in the right place at the right time is the main rule when selecting the direction for any business and even more so in aviation. It is all about the proximity which is one of the key factors for airlines choosing their MRO partners. Although it might be relatively easy to plan routine maintenance checks in stations of any provider with a limited number of facilities located anywhere in the world, having to adjust flight schedules can be a pointless and time consuming practice. But when it comes to unexpected breakdowns and every wasted hour is literally worth thousands of dollars, having a maintenance partner with an extensive network of maintenance stations all over the globe really pays off,’ said Jonas Butautis.
