Baltic Ground Services signs a ground handling services contract with Iceland Express
By Ernesta Raulonytė Wednesday, May 30, 2012On the 27th of June 2012 Baltic Ground Services (BGS) will start providing integrated passenger and aircraft ground handling sejavascript:nullo();rvices for the Icelandic low-cost carrier Iceland Express. According to the recently signed agreement, BGS will serve the airlines’ flights to the Keflavík International airport (Reykjavik) at Vilnius International airport.
‘The low-cost carrier, newly launching its operations at Vilnius International Airport, has made the decision to choose our company as its partner based not only on the attractive tarrifs but also on the high quality of the services we provide. The latter meet the highest industry standards and requirements which manifests in the consistently expanding list of our clients,’ commented the CEO of Baltic Ground Services Saulius Batavicius.
The Iceland Express passengers flying between Vilnius and Reykjavik will be carried in the company’s Airbus A320 accomodating up to 168 air travellers. The first flight from Vilnius is scheduled on the 27th of June.
The Baltic Ground Services clients’ list contains the names of such aviation companies as Finnair, LOT, Aer Lingus, Brussels Airlines, Aeroflot, Transaero, Wizz Air and others. The company owns the license to provide ground handling services in Lithuania and the six largest aorports in Poland: Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan.
