After Christmas I went to Playa Blanca again to regain power after a very party-intense Christmas Time. The first of my three days in the caribbean white sand paradise began very relaxed - as I wanted it - but ended very adventurous. During an afternoon swim with the American Guy and the two Australian Girls who went with me to Playa Blanca I got stung by a Sting Ray (german: Rochen, espanol: raya). Its poison caused me the greatest pain I ever suffered.
In the first place I the pain would decline after a while but apparently it didn´t. I was a little worried since I did not know what stung me and ocean creatures can be very dangerous friends. After a hectic discussion with the locals they concluded that that a Sting Ray had caused the black spot on my feet. After another couple of minutes they agreed on a plan of action: First of all someone had to cut the little would the Sting Ray had caused open to make sure that no little piece of the Sting Rays sting remained in my flesh.
