Benefis CEO explains reasons hospital may undertake talks with Great Falls Clinic
By AdminTalks have yet to begin between administrators of Great Falls’ two largest health care organizations, but Benefis Health System administrators say they are pursuing the possibility of acquiring the Great Falls Clinic primarily out of concern over access to care in the city.
Benefis Health System’s underlying mission is to provide high-quality, low-cost health care in Great Falls and the surrounding area, CEO John Goodnow said.
“Given that kind of a mission, one of the things we can’t do is stand by if our community is at risk of losing physicians and other providers,” he said. “That’d be a very bad thing for Great Falls and the community."… more
