General Motors did the North American unveiling of its new (for America) Chevy Cruze. The General says that the Cruze is a “Popular global car refined for America”. Whether that flies with the U.S. car buying public remains to be seen, but what is known is that the Cruze will supposedly get up to 40 mpg highway, and will also feature a new family of small-displacement engines, including an Ecotec 1.4L 4 cylinder turbo.

Maybe you prefer to cook hamburgers and hot dogs with a flamethrower. Or, perhaps, your smoothies are blended in your bathtub with an outboard motor.
For too long, you’ve been confined to keeping your excess quietly to yourself.

What Do the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid and Mercury Mariner Hybrid Have in Common?By Admin
Other than the fact that they’re all hybrids, obviously. UPDATE: Answer after the jump.
All three vehicles are previous winners of the GCOTY or Green Car of the Year Award, presented at the LA Auto Show by GreenCar.com (pedants not welcome). You want to talk about methodology? 2010 Chevrolet Equinox test drive reviewBy Admin
For people in the market for a compact SUV, the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox makes an excellent case for buying and American vehicle over a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V.

All right, we might have goofed. When we heard Ottawa and the government of Ontario were investing hundreds of millions of dollars in an Oshawa General Motors plant to make a pony car--the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro--our first reaction was to wonder whether we heard right. Gasoline was on the way up and elsewhere, governments were investing taxpayer dollars to cut CO2 emissions. What could be the point of encouraging production of another road hog?
2010 Chevrolet EquinoxBy Admin
Say what you will about legacy costs, screwball UAW agreements, and brand hyper-proliferation, General Motors has undeniably talented designers and engineers. Those folks have in recent years created stellar products such as the current Cadillac CTS, the new Chevrolet Malibu, and a quartet of well-executed full-size crossovers.

Don’t count on the Chevrolet Volt to rescue General Motors. The extended-range electric car is a fascinating science project and great for wowing policy makers, but few car enthusiasts are that committed to saving the planet. What most of us want is a sexy-hot ride that doesn’t cost a fortune. Enter the reborn Chevy Camaro - the ultimate red-blooded, blue-collar fashion statement and GM’s best hope of driving itself out of the ditch.

If the Chevy Traverse is any indication, General Motors has the potential for a rosy future if the financial Sword of Damocles can be removed from over it.
