Lexus Automotive Reviews
By online
TORONTO, - Lexus Canada today announced that it intends to conduct a voluntary safety campaign of approximately 520 2003-2007 Model Year LX 470 vehicles to address a steering shaft condition. No other Lexus vehicles are involved in this campaign.
Lexus has determined that the construction of the steering shaft on involved LX 470s is such that the snap ring on the shaft may disengage when the vehicle experiences an unusually severe impact to the front wheels, such as striking a deep pothole. If the snap ring becomes disengaged and the steering wheel is then repeatedly turned to the full locked position, the steering shaft may disengage over time. Lexus Canada is not aware of any accidents related to this condition.
Lexus HS 250h – an Easy to Like HybridBy Jim Bray
It’s the Lexus HS 250h, the luxury car maker’s first four cylinder model, and at heart it’s a luxury hybrid. It’s also a very nice car that would undoubtedly be easy to live with.
And it’s so green, regardless of which color you order it in, that it could drive you nuts. Not only is it supposed to sip gas (Lexus claims a mileage rating of 41.3 mpg or 5.7L/100 km, though I never got that), but it’s also supposedly equipped with an interior that’s nearly one third populated by “sustainable ecological plastics” whatever the heck that’s supposed to mean.

Popular Lexus Ute Gets a Brand New SuitBy Jim Bray
Lexus’ most popular model has undergone its first major restyling and reengineering, a process designed to keep it current and competitive.
And it has. While recognizable as an RX, the new RX 350 looks and feels quite a bit different than its predecessor. It’s still a fine vehicle, though, and should continue to be a top seller for Toyota’s luxury division.
The new RX looks like a bulked up old RX – not as if it’s been shooting up banned substances, of course, just as if it’s been working out. This gives it a more chiseled and muscular appearance and it works just fine.
2009 Lexus GS450h: this hybrid is a high performance sports sedanBy Admin
The Lexus GS model was redesigned in 2006, and is one of Toyota’s most advanced vehicles in technology. For 2009 there have been no significant changes made to the GS luxury sedan. I have to admit I was not all that excited when I found out I would be getting the Lexus GS450h ($56,550) to test drive for the week In the past, the Lexus sedans I have tested have been too soft for my taste. I have a fondness for the German luxury sedans that are built for the kind of roads and driving I do in the Denver area near Evergreen.
Big Lexus SUV Ups Its Own Ante for 2009By Jim Bray
The Lexus LX 570 is the latest iteration of a vehicle that really began life decades ago as the Toyota Land Cruiser wagon – a fine vehicle then and today. The current version features a bigger and more powerful engine, more interior volume, more technology and more luxury appointments than you can shake a stick at.
Lexus Unleashes a BeastBy Jim Bray
It’s a lean, mean driving machine, yet it comes from a company whose name is more associated with luxury than sports.
Lexus GS 450h – No Slowpoke Hybrid, this!By Jim Bray
Love may not be quite as wonderful the second time around. But it’s still pretty good!
