Front-wheel drive is a funny thing. When originally introduced during the Thirties in the Cord 810 (then later in the awesome supercharged 812) and the Citroën Traction Avant, FWD was hailed as a major breakthrough, a wondrous technological innovation that allowed for lower ride height and greatly increased passenger space.

Back in November 2008 we posted some news about the 2010 Nissan Cube, which included U.S. specs and photos. This was followed with news about Nissan Cubes and Clarion’s MiND device in July 2009, so today we thought it’s about time we updated you.
With the Nissan Cube release in the UK this January, the reviews have been flowing. The popular Parkers site – car reviews and news - has taken a first look at the Nissan Cube, although they quickly point out that different versions of the Cube have been on sale in Japan for over 10-years.
2009 Nissan Sentra – ReviewBy Admin
Maybe we’re spoiled. Yeah that’s that right. Spoiled. It used to be that buying a compact car was an excercise in self-sacrifice. And not just of space. Small cars used to also carry with them a variety of other downsides including a void of power, few amenities and questionable reliability.
Blogosphere Responds to Nissan’s Electric CarBy Admin

All of those drives took place in a Nissan test mule which was essentially a second generation Nissan Cube fitted with the EV power train. Now, Nissan has been offering test drives in an updated EV prototype which utilizes the much more compact Nissan Versa. So how does this vehicle perform?

While Ford and GM consider building their mid- and full-size cars on a single platform, Toyota and Nissan are already doing it. The Avalon has been based on the Camry platform since its inception and now Nissan is giving us an Altima-based Maxima. The key to pulling this trick off successfully is differentiating the resultant cars visually and dynamically and, preferably, aiming them at different market segments. Did Nissan succeed at this mission, or did they just give us an Altimus Maximus?

I kept missing the first version of Nissan’s popular SUV and/or crossover, like two ships that passed in the night repeatedly as review vehicles came around. It drove me nuts, especially since I have a neighbor who has one and who loves it dearly and I really wanted to try it for myself.

Take a popular mid-sized sedan, weld two doors shut and what do you get?
